Shopping online is a very effective way of making purchases in today’s market. It makes a lot of things accessible to us from the comfort of our homes.girl shopping online

One of the many things made accessible to us, is clothing this including shoes such as sneakers. Have you ever wondered how to buy sneakers online without added stress? Well, I have the answer for you, and broke it down to four(4) easy steps that have helped me and can do the same for you.

These steps are:

  1. Know what you are looking for.
  2. Know where to find them.
  3. Know your budget.
  4. Know your foot!

Following these steps can help you have a better experience when shopping online for sneakers, and ultimately help you have fun while doing it!

Step #1: Know what You are Looking For

One of the first things you need to know when you seek to purchase anything online is to know what you want!

It makes it a bit easier when you narrow down your search to something specific. In this case, the search would be narrowed down to sneakers, or the specific type of sneaker that you wish to buy.

These specifics searches could be Adidas, Vans, Fila, Puma, Yeezy’s, you name it. The important thing is to know what you are looking for before you go any further.

Now that you have completed the first step and know what you want, you are well on your way to finding and buying the sneaker for you.

Step #2: Know Where to Find Them

The next step to buying sneakers online, is to know where these shoes are sourced. Knowledge of correct and efficient websites to purchase sneakers, can come in handy when searching for just about anything on the net.

There are many websites today that provide sneakers, and all kinds of different footwear.amazon on phone

Some more well known ones would be, Amazon and EBay, but there are a lot more useful websites that can be used. Other great websites to use are Packershoes.com, footlocker.com, champsport.com and vans.com(if you want a specific search for vans).

Once you decide on a website, start your search for your sneakers! If you don’t like a particular website or you want a variation in style or prices, you can always try other websites until you are happy with your result.

Step #3: Know your Budget

Step #3 is a very important step for anybody shopping online, and that is to know your budget! You should know what you want to buy and how much money you are willing to pay to attain it.

Also know when a sneaker you want to buy on one website is way more than what you are willing to spend on the sneaker (Though be reasonable with how much the shoe would be worth). There are many websites to purchase sneakers from, and if the sneaker and prices on a particular website are not to your liking, or you just don’t think it is worth it, look somewhere else!

The decision is yours, and you are spending your money, so don’t be afraid to look on other websites for the sneaker and compare prices.

This will both ensure that you get the best deal with your budget, and that you are happy with your choice after the purchase, making shopping for shoes (as this can apply not only to sneakers) a better experience.

Step #4: Know your Foot!

Finally, step #4! This is one of the easier steps, as you just need to know yourself! Firstly know the look you would be most comfortable wearing on multicolored sneaker jumpingyour foot. This would include the colours and styles that you like and look for in a sneaker.

Both the colour and style of a sneaker(or any shoe for that matter), can affect your decision when choosing and purchasing the shoe. The way we dress is an expression of ourselves, and has an impact on our tastes.

So know what you like and what would suit you, as some styles are not for everybody, and might not be for you. It is OK to get advice from others but ultimately, you have to know for yourself.

Also, you should obviously know what I call your ‘foot info.’ Everyone should know their foot size, and what shape shoes fit, and are comfortable on your feet. Knowing this information makes shopping for sneakers a lot easier, as it helps narrow down the search for your shoe to sizes and sometimes certain cut shoes that you may prefer.

Have Fun Shopping!

After following all these steps, all that’s left to do is to have fun shopping! Over time, you will gain enough experience to know what you like and the websites you like to shop on.

When this happens, a world of opportunities will open up to you, and you will gain confidence when shopping online for sneakers, or whatever else!

What do you think? If you have anything to add or what to give your opinion, feel free to leave a comment!

My brother has a really big foot and I want to buy him a sneaker for his birthday but I don’t know which brand is suitable for him. Can you suggest a few?

    • Tiara

Hi Furkan, thank you for your comment.
In response to your question, there are a lot of sneakers that cater for persons with large feet. If I had to suggest a few, just to give you an option, they would be Nike, Puma, Adidas, Vans or Airs. These shoes often suit males with large feet and would be comfortable, but also stylish and affordable. You know your brother best, and would know which style would look great on his feet.
      Good luck! 🙂

I never think about buying sneakers online. My first concern is the fit. I know my feet and really don’t find easy fits for my size in the stores. Maybe buying online will help. My concern is that I like to look down on my feet to see how the sneakers look. This is the challenge I face.

      Hi Carol.
I understand your concern, as most people find themselves worried about this situation, myself included.
What I have found works for me, is to know what shape shoe I would normally be comfortable wearing, and this goes for any shoe you are buying. For example, I have a wider top foot, so I would not purchase point toe shoes, as comfort is very important.
Also, if you don’t like how bulky shoes look on your feet, you could try flatter shoes like converse and vans.
Thank you for sharing you thoughts. 🙂
